Da Claw is  a different type of robot controller.  Da Claw does not use buttons or joysticks to control the robot, but flex sensors.  The controller consists of 5 flex sensors adhered to a glove.  Those flex sensors go through jumper cables and into a breadboard.  The breadboard then runs into an Arduino Leonardo.  The Arduino is then programmed to take the outputs provided by the flex sensors and convert them into a Boolean, 'is bent' or 'is not bent'.  The driver station then picks up these Booleans and assigns them to different buttons.  It can then be programmed in your usual programming software to have different hand signs do different things.
