An Alumni's responsibility as a graduated veteran member of the robotic's team is to teach students in depth, after all they use to be on the team!  Alumni also serve as coaches in areas where mentors cannot.  For example, a few of the Alumni use to be part of the drive team that drove the robot and have worth while advice and experience in this area while mentors do not.
